Spanish
At Feynman School, children build Spanish-speaking skills from the first day of school forward. Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students learn Spanish primarily through activities such as stories, arts and crafts, and songs throughout the day. Spanish books, games, posters, and labels in the classroom further enhance second-language learning. In order to further their Spanish acquisition, class time is set aside each week exclusively for Spanish learning. Together, these strategies and resources work effectively with children’s various learning styles: visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic. Throughout their time at Feynman School, students actively use Spanish with increasing confidence as they start down to path towards bilingualism, biliteracy and cross-cultural awareness.
