Spanish

Our elementary students learn Spanish in a fun, collaborative style through activities such as stories, arts and crafts, songs, and games as well as through formal instruction. They expand their cross-cultural awareness by exploring Spanish speaking cultures from around the world and are able to build their conversation and comprehension skills while participating in experiential activities such as cooking and celebrating Spanish and Hispanic holidays. Spanish books, games, posters, and labels in the classroom further enhance second-language learning. Together, these strategies and resources work effectively with children’s various learning styles: visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic.
